Port St. Joe is a small town in Gulf County on St. Joseph Bay which opens into the Gulf of Mexico. St. Joseph Peninsula is a narrow strip of land which not only forms St. Joseph Bay but also provides home to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park which is at its end. Port St. Joe is along "Florida's Forgotten Coast". Panama City, Panama City Beach, and Mexico Beach are to the northwest and Apalachicola and St. George Island are to the southeast. Port St. Joe is so close to so many of the beautiful beaches. US Highway 98 is the main road to and through Port St. Joe. Highway 71 heads northeast into the interior of Gulf County.
